Leadership in a New Paradigm of Organizational Capital - It's Time to Capitalize; By Lance Winslow

By Lance Winslow

Becoming a great leader is never easy and as our social structure changes, and as the next generation comes into play the leadership styles and management styles must also change to deal with the new up-and-coming workforce. And although it really doesn't matter if your leadership is one of the business sector, government, sports, academia or of the nonprofit sector there are certain things you must know.

It is also important to think of leadership in the future tense and this is not to say you need to get rid of all the old leadership books you have ever bought in the past. There are times and places for each type of leadership and management style, nevertheless, it is important to recognize the changes in the new informational age, the age of political correctness and the new generations work style.

Perhaps, it is for this reason that I would suggest that you do a little reading and research on the future of organizational capital and leadership in the present period, and what it means to the future. What I'd like to do is to recommend a very good book to help get you started on your new path with thinking in the future tense when it comes to leadership skills, this is a book I own and recommend that you use it to;

"Thinking in the Future Tense; Leadership Skills for a New Age," by Jennifer James; 1994.

This book has many chapters and a few might be very important for your future success. I think you will learn from the chapters on Sexism and Racism, which are counterproductive in any organization. There is also advice to dump old mindset and maximize intelligence, energy and organizational capital. Learn about the problems with good ole' boy networks in organizations. These are just a few of the chapters that will show you the future of leadership. Please think on this.
